It is through his previous employment as Project Manager in KwaZulu Natal, working as the provincial Government champion to revive the coal industry, that he became extensively involved in the coal industry. His key responsibility was to engage with mining houses who had interest in investing within the province.

He has working with a number of small scale and junior mining companies to develop projects and assist them with targeting investors and raising capital. Clive has developed extensive networks across the world within the cement, coal and diamonds sectors.

He worked at the IDC for a number of years where he specialised in the funding of the Healthcare sector both in South Africa and the rest of the continent. He holds an Economics degree from the University of Pretoria and an MBA degree with the University of KwaZulu Natal.
